New Additions and News!

So everyone!  How’s 2026 treating you so far?!  Here at Ashtree Wildcrafting, the year began with a bang and has so far, kept on truckin’!  We are already on track to double last year’s sales and we’re only closing out the first quarter!  Huge thanks and a shout-out to all our repeat customers!  You have no idea how amazing it feels to see people return to our booth to buy another tea because they liked the last one so much!  Even better are those moments when one of you stops by as someone brand new is checking out our teas.  Hearing you tell us in a voice loud enough for the new customer to hear, just how much you enjoy the wildcrafted teas we make, seriously puts smiles on our faces.

THANK YOU!!!

The website just underwent a day’s worth of updates to get our tea listings updated.  We introduced a number of new teas almost a year ago now, and FINALLY have them up in the Tea Shop!  We aren’t joking when we say that once last year’s foraging season began, we were going non-stop until the fall craft fair season kicked in, and even then we were doing both concurrently for a couple months until we finally got stocks shored up before the growing season ended.  Even at that, a couple of our ingredients didn’t get as much put away as we’d hoped for, and that means a few of our teas may start to disappear off our table if they sell out before ingredients can be harvested.  One of those ingredients is curly dock, and Marilynn just grabbed our first handful off a regularly-threatened plant.  This thing is regularly mowed down by the owner, so to at least get SOME of it harvested, Marilynn is resorting to grabbing the leaves when they are young, rather than when they are nice and big!

Our sample collections are now up on the site as well, again, finally!  We introduced those at Creative Chaos last year, and we will be back at Creative Chaos again this year.

The spring craft fair season is upon us, and just like last year, if we are not at a craft or wellness fair each weekend,  you will find us at the Rutland Flea Market at the Rutland Centennial Hall each Sunday from 9am to 2pm.  This includes Easter Weekend.  We celebrate Passover in our house, and as we do a Messianic version of it, we have decided to celebrate that on April 8th this year.

We are looking forward to being back at Fintry Manor this year, starting with Mother’s Day, and at Maplefest at the end of April.  We don’t speak French, but the organizers like our teas, so we will be there again.  May’s fair schedule is crazy, and ends with us attending our first ever Ren Fair down in Penticton on May 30th!  We have attempted a modern take on 1850’s outfits to fit with our apothecary theme.  You’ll have to come down to see how we did.  We will also be celebrating our celtic heritage at the Scottish Festival also happening in Penticton, on July 4th.  Scottish, Welsh, English/Canadian and Roma all feature in Marilynn’s side of the family, complete with a registered Scottish Tartan in the official Scottish Tartan Registry!

Lot’s happening this year!  Do keep an eye on the calendar dates, and we hope to see you at one of these fairs this spring.
